Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar: Fresh Seafood and Innovative Dishes

We went to Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar for my birthday and weren't disappointed. They offer an exceptional dining experience with its fresh Pacific Northwest seafood, innovative dishes, and elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The seafood tower and our entrees were perfectly cooked and delicious. Highly recommended for its exquisite food, impeccable service, and welcoming ambiance.

Let me start this off, by bragging that I have the best husband ever. My birthday usually falls so close to thanksgiving that I just get to celebrate with Turkey and pumpkin pie. Yeah, woe is me. But TODAY, my husband spoiled me by taking me here for my actual birthday. The restaurant is deceiving, we thought it was small but then we walked to the back and it was so big! I love the different textures, the dark walls, the called walls and the great view! What a treat, and I was so impressed. We had a reservation but were so early that they sat us anyway. We had that table for hours, I swear. Ended up trying both the gin drinks, and my husband had the paper plane. Delicious! As far as the food, we tried something from each menu and it was all so absolutely amazing. Started with Crudo, and Oysters. Followed by octopus and escargot. Then swordfish and ended the meal with creme brulee and truffles. You guys, when I say everything was fantastic, I mean everything. When we checked out they ended up giving us a $62.50 gift certificate for next time. What? I know we spent a fortune but wow. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Food and service were amazing! We had the Caesar salad, Ahi Tiradito, and the Chilean Sea bass. Everything was delicious. They also split every dish as my friend and I were sharing everything. We finished off with the White Chocolate Coconut cream pie. Highly recommend this! It was a perfect end to dinner. Not too sweet. Garage parking was free and easy. A lot of stalls.

We came here for lunch a few days ago and had an enjoyable experience. Between us we had the fish and chips & steelhead and everyone enjoyed their food. The fish tastes fresh and is seasoned very well. So were our veggies. We hope they keep their lunch prices reasonable so we can come back!

Per other reviews, I've dined here a few times several years ago and wasn't impressed so I wrote it off. But I ended up looking for oyster happy hours in Bellevue and saw the $2 offering so gave it a try. $5 house wine, $24 dozen oysters, $14 poke, $12 crispy rice. Everything was pretty good and would return!

Came in for happy hour after work - HIGHLY recommend Food : 8/10 The oysters were delicious and fresh. The crispy salmon bites were solid. But the star of the show is by far the snail dish - surprisingly. They're broiled in butter and taste delicious on the bread. Was craving more the rest of the week. Highly recommend to try! The staff was also great - the place was pretty much empty at 5, but solid ambiance.

Ambiance 5/5 -- Sleek, dimly lit interior. Nice bar area with ample tables and seating Service 5/5 -- Service was slower than usual but the restaurant was busy with larger groups and our server Ryan provided great hospitality. Plates were cleared promptly. Hostess Bailey was very helpful while Jessica (who greeted us) could have been nicer Food 4/5 -- I've frequented Seastar enough to be familiar with their menu and I'm a bit disappointed with the food today. - Pear Kamikaze is great but inconsistent - Paper Plane was as described, floral and a bit sweet - Bread was served warm with a great salted whipped butter - Kumamoto Oysters were fresh and tasty - Halibut Ceviche was tasty however their Scallop Ceviche (currently unavailable) is better - Three Fish Crudo was incredibly disappointing. The basic flavors were there but the fish was sliced way too thick, ruining the experience - The Sea Bass and Soba Noodles were perfectly cooked; the fish was buttery soft with a subtle bite and the noodles were bouncy. Great balance with the vegetables included. However, the teriyaki-style sauce was overly abundant and very sweet. Adding lemon, salt and pepper helped, but it became really hard to eat towards the end. Expensive meal, I'm not sure it was worth the money. I would come back for happy hour in the bar area

Seastar offers a beautiful, quiet, and opulent dining experience, perfect for a special evening out. The atmosphere is serene, and the wait staff is truly exceptional, providing attentive and warm service that enhances the overall experience. I ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops with corn risotto, and every bite was absolute perfection. The flavors were balanced beautifully, with the rich, savory scallops pairing perfectly with the creamy risotto. Although I can't quite remember the name of the drink I had, I do recall it being delicious and well-crafted, rounding off the meal in the best way possible. Seastar is a must-visit if you're looking for an elegant dining experience with top-tier food and service.

Came here for New Years Eve dinner last year and for my birthday! They are like a fusion of American and a variety of Asian cuisines. So if you are looking for a place that serves a variety of cuisines and at the same time is still a classy/upscale restaurant, I'd say this place hit the mark. BTW the espresso martini and gin martinis is a must get, they make it pretty strong and good here. It was a great starter. We ordered a bunch of appetizers which I think is totally worth it instead of ordering full entrees. We got a thing of string fries, dozen raw oysters, salmon belly roll, california roll, toro sashimi, jumbo cocktail shrimp, shu mai, mussels, and jambalaya. The torched salmon belly roll is a MUST GET!! It was so good, it literally melted in the mouth like butter. The rest of raw seafood was also excellent and very fresh. I think the shu mai was a bit underwhelming as I didn't think it was anything unique, but it was good to try and get it out of the way. And of course had to end the night with a sweet treat. Coconut creme pie. :)
